Risks of exploitation and abuse: information capsule for newly arrived Ukrainian migrants

The current context in Ukraine could aggravate the vulnerabilities of migrants and in particular women and children who have had to flee their country for security reasons. Indeed, they can become the target of malicious individuals seeking to take advantage of their situation.

In order to make them aware of the risks of exploitation and abuse or even human trafficking, the SPVM presents an information video intended for newly arrived Ukrainian migrants.

The video was produced in collaboration with the Office for the Integration of Newcomers to Montreal (BINAM), the Center for Assistance to Victims of Criminal Acts of Montreal (CAVAC) and the Congress of Ukrainian Canadians.

It is important to remember that if you are a victim or witness to a crime, do not hesitate to ask for help. Help through confidential and free resources is available whether there is a complaint or not.
