April 30, 2020. Ottawa ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) Parliamentary Internship Program is entering its fourth year. By providing valuable experience for Ukrainian-Canadian recent university graduates to work on Parliament Hill, we are helping build the next generation of Ukrainian Canadian leaders!
We are pleased to announce a Call for Applications for the Fall 2020 Parliamentary Internship. Given the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 crisis, the UCC will strictly follow all guidelines and directives from federal, provincial and local authorities in implementing our Parliamentary Internship Program.
The UCC Parliamentary Internship is supported by the Roman Waschuk and Oksana Smerechuk Fund, established this year within the UCC Charitable and Educational Trust.
“This time of global crisis reminds us all of the importance of public service in making government work for people,” stated Waschuk and Smerechuk. “The UCC Parliamentary Internship is an excellent way for youth to get involved in and gain experience in the democratic process in Canada, and we strongly encourage young people to apply.”
The internships are scheduled to begin during the fall session of Parliament, in September 2020. Interns will work in the office of a Member of Parliament for ten months.
Applications are due May 31, 2020. To apply for the internship position please visit the UCC’s website – UCC Parliamentary Internship Application
